Old People Rock

This couple has been married for 62 years and he'll be 90 this year. They walked into the lobby of the Mayo Clinic for a checkup and spotted a piano. Here is their impromptu performance.

I'm shooting for that much fun after 62 years with my husband!

Cross Country Snowboarding

I apologize for posting three videos in a row, but this one is too good to pass up. (Thanks, brother.)

Going to Chick-fil-A is good birth control.

Chris and I decided that last night.

We went out to The Chick for dinner. It was a snowy night and we had two free sandwich coupons. (Thanks Facebook!) Spent $3.97 for dinner for two ... can't beat that.

Anyway.

The place was a madhouse. There must have been three kids there for every one adult. Where in the world did they all come from? Granted, we chose a table right next to the play area, but still. It didn't much matter where we sat. As we ate our dinner amidst the the chaos, our conversation (not surprisingly) centered on our feelings about having children someday. Or more accurately, how we could have kids and not wish we didn't.

Don't get me wrong. I love Chick-fil-A. And I love kids. But the two of them together ... no thank you.

(This video doesn't have anything to do with kids, but it totally made me laugh.)

My New Neighbors

They just built a Taco Bell right outside my front door. Literally. It's maybe a few hundred yards away from my couch.

This is ironic, considering they're like my least favorite chain restaurant of all time. Now I must greet each day with a purple and orange neon sign.

Taco Bell? More Like Taco Hell.

That Did NOT Just Happen

Wanna hear a funny story? Cause I have a good one for you.

Cast of Characters:
Chris - my fiance
Brianne - a girl who works for Chris, a tiny little cute, bubbly blonde
Random Lady - a lady from Compassion's Marketing Department

First let me set the scene.

For the past few months, every time this random lady passes Brianne in the hallway, she says "Hi Gretchen." Brianne (who is one of the world's sweetest girls) has not had it in her heart to correct her.

So the other day, Brianne is in the break room at lunchtime. She's wearing one of those cute, poofy shirts that are trendy right now. And this is the conversation that followed:
Random Lady: Hi Gretchen.

Brianne (knowing she has to say something since others are listening): Uh, actually my name's Brianne.

Random Lady: Come over here!

(Brianne walks over.)

Random Lady: That's a cute shirt!

Brianne: Thanks.

Random Lady (eying Brianne's left hand): Where is your ring?

Brianne: Ummm ... I'm not married.

Random Lady: Oh I thought you and Chris Giovagnoni were having a baby.

Brianne: EXCUSE ME?! I'm his EMPLOYEE! And he's engaged to Becky!

Random Lady: Oh, I see you together a lot. Well ... you don't look pregnant.
Remember when I accidentally made a similar mistake?

Total Eclipse of the Heart

Remember the literal videos I posted a while back? (The idea is that they sing what's actually happening in the music video.)

Well, here's the newest one. And it's hilarious.

The Female Driver

Sometimes I have parking problems. I hate to admit it, but spatially speaking, I'm kind of dumb.

I'm a good driver otherwise, but when it comes to parking, I have issues.

This might be a bit of a generalization, but it seems to be a woman thing. Men might not be that good at multi-tasking, but they can usually approach a parking space from the proper angle.

The first time.

Bringing Sexy Back

Okay. I know I already posted today, but I have to post this. It's too funny not to.

I'd like to introduce you to the Sexy People blog.

You're welcome.

(Thanks, Vince.)

Dan Brown

A while ago I randomly stumbled across this guy Seth's blog. I don't know Seth. But a lot of his posts crack me up. The ones about Madonna are funny. And today's post is also really funny.

I liked reading Dan Brown's books, but Seth's right. He's kind of crazy.

Ben Stiller Does Joaquin Phoenix

I don't know how I missed this on the Oscars the other night, but after that Joaquin video I posted the other day, this is especially funny.

Led Zeppelin 101

Last night Chris and I were watching the Grammys. Well, half of them ... those shows are LONG.

Anyway, here's the exchange we had right after Alison Krauss and Robert Plant won an award.

Chris: Wow, Robert Plant is looking old.

Becky: You've heard of that guy?

Chris (with obvious surprise):
Yeah! He was the lead singer of Led Zeppelin.

Becky: Really? He's the lead singer? Why would they name their band after a guy who is not the lead singer?

Chris (looking at me like I'm from another planet): Are you serious?

Becky: You mean Led Zeppelin's not a person?

(Chris laughs his butt off. For the rest of the night.)

XLIII

Oh my goodness. Can anyone say exciting Superbowl?!? MAN. I didn't even care about either team, and I was still stressing!

Bruce Springsteen wasn't bad. I'd put him above the Janet Jackson and Prince halftime shows, definitely. Bruce has got to be old by now but he certainly doesn't look as old as he should. Although we all agreed that he doesn't move like a young man. He sure tried, though. What was up with that knee slide that he did into one of the cameras?

Oh and there were a few funny commercials.
Here was my favorite ...

I love the dancing astronauts.

Did you watch it? What did you think?

Holy #$%&!

Sometimes I find swearing funny. A well-timed curse word, especially from the mouth of someone who rarely swears, usually cracks me up.

This post about Christians swearing is funny. I especially like the part about Tony Campolo.

Luke was a farmer?!

Remember how on my list of things I've never done is watched Star Wars?

Well after hearing the movie explained, I'm not EVER going to watch them.

Those movies are STUPID.

Laughter is good for the soul.

One of my favorite bloggers has again written a post that cracked. Me. Up.

You should probably stop whatever you're doing and read it.
Right now.

It's that funny.

(This is especially for those of you - you know who you are - who failed to find the Dave Barnes videos particularly funny. If this one doesn't make you laugh, we might have issues.)
